Typhoon Lagoon is the oldest of Walt Disney World's two water parks. It is a delightful blend of thrills and relaxation, ranging from the water coaster Crush 'n' Gusher to the wonderfully relaxing Castaway Creek that encircles the park.
The main attraction at Typhoon Lagoon is the massive Surf Pool, which delivers very sizeable waves every 90 seconds. We know from personal experience that you want to make sure to be in an area you can handle when these waves come, as they are very capable of knocking even the largest people off of their feet. One of the most unique attractions at the two Walt Disney World water parks is Typhoon Lagoon's Shark Reef. This is an opportunity for those who can handle scuba diving to swim with various small creatures of the sea, including sharks.
On a warm Central Florida day, Typhoon Lagoon provides an opportunity for the young and old, and everyone in between, to enjoy the sun in a beautiful atmosphere.
