The BoardWalk at Walt Disney World combines Atlantic seaboard charm with perhaps the best location of any site at Walt Disney World. Its combination of restaurants, resorts, and entertainment makes it a very popular choice for Walt Disney World guests and Central Florida residents.
The BoardWalk sits to the southeastern side of Crescent Lake. On the opposite side of the lake are the Beach Club and Yacht Club resorts. The BoardWalk is home to the Boardwalk Inn, and is also adjacent to the Dophin and Swan resorts. These five resorts are considered the Epcot resorts, and that is because the BoardWalk is simply a walk or boat ride from Epcot's International Gateway entrance into the World Showcase. This area is also accessible directly to Disney’s Hollywood Studios via a boat ride.
Entertainment options at the BoardWalk include the Atlantic Dance Hall, Jellyrolls, and the ESPN Club. Restaurants include the Flying Fish Cafe and Big River Grill and Brewing Works, along with a few smaller cafes and counter service locations. One of these is the Boardwalk Bakery, which we think is wonderful.
We believe the BoardWalk area is one of the best locations for Walt Disney World guests because of its great proximity to two theme parks, its entertainment and dining options, and the beauty of Crescent Lake.
