Walt Disney World resorts are some of the most unique resorts on the planet, and staying in them immerses guests in the full Disney experience. These resorts are designed to emphasize the themes and fun upon which Walt Disney World is based. There are a wide range of resorts, from the elegance of the Grand Floridian to the fun and value of the All-Star Movies, Music, and Sports resorts. Guests can stay in resorts themed on Hawaii/Pacific, the American Northwest, Cape Cod, Atlantic City, an African savannah, the Caribbean, Mexico, Key West, upstate New York, New Orleans, and the Louisiana bayou. If those geographical themes take second place to characters in your family, then Disney is prepared for you too. Families can immerse themselves in Disney movies, music, culture, and even sports.
Each resort is a full vacation destination unto itself, with full restaurants, shopping options, recreation options, and some of the nicest swimming pools to be found. The resorts provide great access to the main Walt Disney World attractions through Disney buses, the monorail, and boat service. All resorts offer Disney bus service. Monorail service is available to the Grand Floridian, Polynesian, and Contemporary Resorts. Boat service is available at the Epcot/BoardWalk area resorts and the Magic Kingdom area resorts.
Another major benefit of staying at Disney is that each guest receives a Magic Band. This is a band that is computerized, which allows you to charge expenses throughout Walt Disney World to your room. These bands also secure the abilty of resort guests to enjoy Extra Magic Hours, when the theme parks are open earlier or later than usual only for Walt Disney World resort guests.
If you have the opportunity to stay at a Walt Disney World resort, then we encourage you to do so. It is an experience you will never forget.
