Africa is the land at Animal Kingdom that gives guests the most realistic feeling of being in the "animal" kingdom. Africa starts with the incredible experience of riding Kilimanjaro Safaris trucks deep into the savannah, forests, and plains of Animal Kingdom. The sensation of being on a real African safari is an experience unparalleled on any continent except, well, Africa itself. In addition, Africa is home to what we believe is Walt Disney's World's best live show, the Festival of the Lion King. Add to that the Gorilla Falls Exploration Trail and Rafiki's Planet Watch, where you can view African animals in their natural habitats at your own pace.
You begin your time in Africa at the front of a small African village, named Harambe. In Harambe, you will find Tusker House Restaurant, which hosts Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Goofy, and Mickey Mouse for breakfast. The Kusafiri Coffee Shop and Bakery, Tamu Tamu Refreshments, and the Harambe Fruit Market will provide you with plenty of opportunities to satisfy your hunger and thirst. Mombasa Marketplace and Ziwani Traders are fun shops to find African, safari, and even general Disney merchandise. Don't miss the live entertainment, as street bands and dancers perform often in Harambe.
Africa is a wonderful place to get away from everything and feel like you are really there.
